Larry Fuqua

OWNER

Larry graduated from Rio Americano High School in 1972. Earning a football scholarship he went to Oregon State University from 1972-75. From college Larry went into the transportation industry where his work ethic and sense of drive helped him work his way up the corporate ladder. He started as a Loader in 1976 and retired as Director of Operations of the western region for FedEx Corporation in 2005. His ability to manage processes and people allowed him to successfully manage as few as 25 people as a Dispatcher in 1979 to as many as 3,000 people as Director of Operations from 1994 to 2005...

It is this experience that allows Larry to own and operate the successful business we know as EveryDay Fitness and Training. He has created a team spirit in all staff and members, helping to ensure that everyone always feels welcome and that the details that make EveryDay Fitness successful are never forgotten. Larry and his wife Vicki became sole proprietors of EveryDay Fitness in late 2014 and with the help of our Management Team, launched the club into the Redding Community, increased our selection of services and equipment and poured themselves into growing our success, investing in our staff and giving back to our members! Larry is committed to family, friends and his wife Vicki! His management skills and experience in life are assets to ensuring the success of Fuqua EveryDay Fitness, Inc.

Tonja Donoho

OWNER

Raised in Redding since she was 9 years old, Tonja could never imagine calling any other place home. Originally from the Seattle area, she still has strong ties to the home of the Seahawks! Tonja is a graduate of Enterprise High School as well as the Institute of Technology...

Tonja has always enjoyed a career in management. Her first job as a teenager lasted 5 years, leaving as an Assistant Manager of Cinemark Movies 8 (right behind our club!). She was also the Production Control Supervisor for a pipe manufacturing plant previous to being hired at EveryDay Fitness. All of the positions she has held in the past have given her a considerable amount of experience in managing staff and operations, as well as Human Resources, Accounting and Customer Service.

Tonja began here at EveryDay in March of 2009, just one month after we opened our doors! She was preparing to start nursing school and needed a job to fit that schedule. Her beginnings with us had her working part time in Kids Club and some Front Desk. She became our Full-Time opener in May of ’09 where she stayed for two and half years until the birth of her son, Dominic. While in that position, she quickly increased her responsibilities by assisting the owners and office manager develop policies and procedures to help the business operate more efficiently. After returning from maternity leave in 2012, Tonja officially transitioned into her role as the Front Desk Supervisor.

After graduating her vocational nursing program at IOT in 2011, Tonja could not imagine leaving her now growing position with the best gym in Redding! Although she loved nursing and patient care, EveryDay became family and it wasn’t “just a job” anymore. The position not only gave her freedom to be the mother she wanted to be, but she was helping grow our business, building meaningful relationships and increasing our involvement with the Redding community.

After becoming General Manager in 2015, Tonja immediately began immersing the business in community projects and programs. As of today, EveryDay Fitness is one of the headlining sponsors of the Redding Health Expo and one of the founding sponsors of the Shasta Mud Run, the biggest fundraiser of the year for Youth Options Shasta, with Tonja on the planning committee as well. Tonja has partnered EveryDay Fitness with many more local fundraisers and projects such as the City of Redding’s Adopt-A-Block program, the Great American Smokeout, MDA Lock-Up, NorCal Think Pink, and many Carr Fire Fundraisers. Tonja is responsible for authorizing all in-kind donations on behalf of EveryDay Fitness to various community, school, non-profit, youth sports, county and city events.

Tonja came on board as Co-Owner at the end of 2021 and is responsible for all lead operations for EveryDay Fitness, wears many hats and has proven to be an incredible asset to our business, members and staff. She is also an alumnus of Leadership Redding, Class of 2020 and a former Redding Rotarian.

When Tonja is not working or volunteering, you can find her and her son out chasing all the North State waterfalls, kayaking, camping, shooting, bike riding, living the lake life, riding their quads, adding to their little ranch homestead, going to concerts and sporting events!
